The one thing I should do less often is:
Sit at my computer going from tab to tab to tab, window to window, round and round in circles, trying to do ten things at once. Note to self: this is not multi-tasking, this is seriously faulti-tasking. Doesn't work. I totally need to tame the inner octopus.
The one thing I should do more often is:
NOTHING. Take time to just be. *writes this reminder on office wall*. And breathe. Must breathe.
The one thing that always makes me smile is:
Hearing my youngest chat away in her own language with so much expression. Such an enthusiastic one year old! And there she goes....I really wish I knew what "dabadaba ah!" meant.
The one thing that does my head in is:
Prolific misuse of there/their/they're and your/you're. I learnt this when I was eight. I simply don't understand the confusion. Gah!!
PS. I tried to find a cool and helpful infographic for this but they were all so hilarious I got very distracted, and then couldn't choose! But google images for "there their they're" ;-)
The one thing I should eat more of is:
My greens. I'm pretty sure once I invest in a super charged, high speed, highly expensive blender, my greens issue will be resolved. Ha!
The one thing I should consume less of is:
Coffee. Trying to embrace teas a bit more. Fine china helps a little.
The one thing I need to remind myself is:
There is no timeframe for grief, and there is only one way through it....and that's straight through. Sadly.
The one thing I should do for myself right now is:
Visit the hairdresser! And walk out feeling like a million bucks! (and quite possibly with ombre'd hair ooooooh)
The one thing I need to finish right now is:
My 'About' page!!!!! I did the 10 day detox and totally (intentionally) skipped that part. So hard writing about yourself right? I think I will just write it as a letter to my tribe. I just have to get it done. How about I give myself until the end of the weekend....
The one thing I should say ‘no’ more often to is:
The perfectionist Virgo that dominates me. Oh my goodness. I don't know how many 99% completed projects I have that remain unfinished, unpublished, undiscovered, because Virgo Christall says it's not quite good enough to present to the world. I need to say 'No! It's totally good enough!'. I'm writing a post on 'When done is better than perfect', which I hope will actually help ME! It's 99% done. :-P
The one thing I should say ‘yes’ more often to is:
Time out. That is, going for a walk with the fam, visiting my Grandparents, going to the park (it's only next door!), turning off the computer.
How about you? What are your 'one things'? I used the prompt's from Kelly Exeter's post to write this, and I hope you will do the same - it's a fantastic exercise, a bit of recalibrating again and a chance to realise what matters to YOU. If you do this for yourself, be sure to show me!
Christall x
